A Curious Faith
I am insatiably curious about everything.
Imagine the joyful energy of a romping, new puppy, the power of a mountain stream during the spring snowmelt, or maybe the force of a newly tapped underground spring. These come close to describing the intensity of my interests when I’m hot on the trail of answers to questions related to faith, God, relationships, church, Scripture, attachments, neuroscience, science, politics, philosophy, history, politics, different cultures, far away places, England, additions, trauma, and music - to name just a few!
I am especially curious about all things related to my faith, which tends to inform the way I look at life. My worldview matters. As an imperfect apprentice to Jesus, I’m seeking to see Him, myself, other people, and the world around me more like He does and respond to everything as He leads. That is quite a monumental undertaking and such an apprenticeship is a lifelong journey. The more I mature, the more I learn that I don’t know nearly as much as I would like! My journey requires me to become comfortable with uncertainty. My hope rests not in what I know - but in the God who knows me and holds on to me as I explore His world with Him.
I’m hoping this new blog will allow me to share my Curious Faith with you. I want to invite you to join me as I blog about questions, things that interest me, and my apprenticeship with Jesus. I hope to write several times a month - although that is subject to change in the midst of health challenges in a pandemic! I will see you soon!
